Madison, WI Wedding Photographer

For the Sun is Warm
and the World is a Beautiful Place.

I moved to Madison almost 4 years ago now and I have officially fallen in love with this city! There is so much character and uniqueness in the people, culture, more bicycles then you will ever see anywhere else, and my fav history. Because when you have history you have vintage. :) In my world, there is nothing better than a "vintage looking" photo.
Joe and Melissa's wedding was held at the Brink Lounge in Madison, WI. It is one of my all time favorite places to go "if" I am going out. Melissa had the perfect dress and amazing vintage jewelry from Etsy.com. There were handmade paper roses all over the tables, a hand-painted cake topper that replicated the bride and groom, and the best part of all (or at least my belly thinks so) a wonderful table filled with homemade treats! Yes, I did eat one or two or three. :)
Melissa and Joe had the awesome idea of traveling to Ella's Deli for some fun photos too and it was just that...FUN!

Enjoy your sneak peek....Thank you so much for letting me part of your awesome wedding!

Family Photographer ~ Janesville, WI

Cause a face without freckles is like a sky without the stars
Why waste a second not loving who you are?
Those little imperfections make you beautiful, lovable, valuable
The show your personality in your heart

Portage, WI Wedding Photographer

Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge
and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you,
you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

~ Winnie the Pooh ~

Pauquette Park in Portage, WI. I was first introduced to this park about 2 years ago when we met with my in-laws for lunch. There are several bridges to cross, gazebos to relax in, flowers to smell, and thousands of tadpoles to catch! :) One of the best parts of this place and yes, I know, I may sound morbid for loving this part of history...but I love history, no matter how sad it is. Couples have been coming to this park for years to have their wedding, even when there were horse and buggies. One couple, many many years ago were coming back to Pauquette park to celebrate their honeymoon together when their carriage missed the turn and they drowned in the pond. I know, morbid right? Or in my eyes, kind of sweetly romantic! :)

That is just what Aaron and Brenda's wedding day was, sweetly romantic. Brenda's face was lit up while walking towards Aaron and the two of them glowed the entire time. There was homemade strawberry jam on each table and yellow sunflowers throughout. Thank you Aaron and Brenda for letting me part of your day!!!

Enjoy!

Fitchburg, WI Wedding Photographer

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

~Adam Sandler~

I met with Kristi and James almost a year ago to photograph their new baby boy, Cameron. It was a nice even trade of instead of doing engagement photos, I got to hold and take pictures of an adorable baby. Sounds good to me!!! :)
James and Kristi had their ceremony at the Agora Pavilion in Fitchburg, WI. If you do not know this area then you will definitely drive past it without notice. Once you get there though, it is gorgeous! It has this amazing white arch where the ceremony is held outside, little paths that lead to a beautiful little pond surrounded by colorful flowers and brick paths. Lets just say, it is perfect for outdoor shots.
After the ceremony was one of THE most interesting limo/bus rides I have ever taken. We all hopped onto a party limo and toured the city of Madison..and just like they all say, what happens in the limo...stays in the limo! :)

Enjoy your sneak peek James and Kristi.

For some reason, the arch reminded me of a clip from "I'm on a Boat" :)
